Operations Guide

How Explorer Operations Work

Back

Each expedition starts with a generated or saved sector. From there, you move room to room, solve puzzle locks, collect rewards, and reach the finish room before the expedition is abandoned or completed.

Expedition Flow

Initialize a Sector

Generate a new sector or load a mapped sector. Before entry, choose available field tools and launch the expedition.

Resolve Rooms

Rooms use direct interactions and console overlays. Some puzzles resolve in-room, while others open through the console with the E key.

Complete or Lose

Expeditions are permanent. Leaving a live sector counts as a loss. Successful completion awards MN, progression, and potential sector outcomes.

Rewards and Progress

MN Credits

Room rewards, completions, daily systems, and economy activity all contribute to your MN balance.

Mapped Sectors

Discoveries can become persistent sectors with market value, owner history, ratings, and ranking relevance.

Analysis and Council Voting

Owned sectors can be assigned to analysis for daily MN. Analyzed sector count also contributes to council vote weighting.

Live Systems

Real-Time Updates

Contact requests, invites, explorer status, and key research and voting updates are surfaced through in-app notifications.

Research Dashboard

The research tab tracks circulating MN, sector distribution, listings, analysis status, and activity trends.

Quick Questions

What happens if I leave a sector?

Leaving a live expedition ends it permanently and records it as lost.

Do all puzzles use the console?

No. Some puzzles are solved directly in the room with movement and interaction, while others use the console overlay.

Can I replay or trade mapped sectors?

Yes. Mapped sectors can be replayed, rated, listed, sold, or assigned to analysis if you own them.
